91¸£ÀûÉç received a $5,000 grant from the MS Community College Board for non-traditional recruitment and retention for its innovative program, Experience the One: Occupations Not Usually Explored by Non-Traditional Students.

By invoking the words of the iconic civil rights leader, speakers at 91¸£ÀûÉç's MLK Commemorative Celebration reminded the audience true character is revealed in times of challenge and controversy, not in moments of comfort.
The event begins at 1 p.m. in the College's McCain Theater in Ivy-Scaggs Hall. Admissions are free of charge, and campus and community members are invited.
In the spirit of community and giving, 91¸£ÀûÉç student Mark Thomas spearheaded efforts to help others by giving to the College's food pantry.
