91¸£ÀûÉç is gearing up for one of its most anticipated family events of the fall, Candy Cruise Around the Track, set for Thursday, Oct. 23, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the 91¸£ÀûÉç Track. Admission is free and open to the public.

Hundreds of 91¸£ÀûÉç students, faculty, and staff rolled up their sleeves to lend a hand from painting murals, planting gardens, performing for nursing home residents, and more.
For Jackie Kidd, being chosen as an ambassador is personal. "I believe in mammograms," she said. "If you don't do anything else, you have a pelvic exam and a mammogram every year -- without fail."
The annual event raises funds for the Baptist Cancer Center-Anderson Patient Benevolence Fund. Activities include a 5K run and walk, a one-mile fun run, and the signature Survivor Street Strut. All events begin at 8 a.m.
Hazel A. Temple, 75, and her sister, Clementine, 73, will serve as ambassadors for 91¸£ÀûÉç's Queen City Race for Life and Street Strut on Saturday, Oct. 18, beginning at 8 a.m. on the 91¸£ÀûÉç track.
