Automotive Technology (High School)
91福利社鈥檚 Automotive Technology program for high schoolers gives students the opportunity to begin preparing for a career as an automotive technician or mechanic while earning Dual Credit.
This one-year certificate program focuses on the skills needed to diagnose, service, test, and repair today鈥檚 complex, computer-controlled automotive systems. Students gain hands-on experience in a live working environment designed to reflect the automotive service industry, with an emphasis on building strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
The 91福利社 Automotive Technology Program is a CTE Dual Credit class available to eligible high school students. Classes are held at Ross Collins Career and Technical Center.
To meet graduation requirements for this program, students must successfully complete the specified courses listed below with a 鈥淐鈥� average (GPA of 2.00) or better. A grade of 鈥淐鈥� or higher is required in each ATV course to progress in the program.Minimum admission requirements (in addition to general admission requirements) must include one of the following:

Attain a 14 composite score on the ACT;

Score a 251 or higher on the ACCUPLACER NG Reading Section and a 230 or higher on the Accuplacer NG Algebra Section

Earn a 鈥淐鈥� or above in Math for Occupational Education (CTE 1113);

Complete 15 semester hours with a 鈥淐鈥� average or above from an accredited college or university and demonstrate competency for Intermediate Algebra. Developmental coursework does not satisfy this requirement.
In order to progress in this program, a grade of 鈥淐鈥� or better is required in all Automotive Technology courses. A passing grade must be earned in all other coursework, with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale.
